Week #53--- Ya live and ya live...

Inline image 1Hahahah this is something that my Zone Leader always says, and it kind of applies a lot for this week. This was definitely not my beeestttt week for missionary work. In fact, if this gives you a little bit of an idea, we spent ALL day in the office with some of our sisters as they met with our President. It was much needed, but since they don't have a car we had to go up to the other valley and stay and wait for them. GOOD NEWS/BAD NEWS: Santa Clarita Valley got a CAFE RIOOO<3 so at like 4:55 we decided we were STARVING and needed some Cafe Rio since it's been OVER A YEAR since I got it, so we went looking for it and at 5:17 we FOUND IT! What a glorious day!....until we parked and realized...
yeah you read that right....IT CLOSED AT 5. 17 minutes late! Sad.
annnnyway...we went on some exchanges and ran into this guy who was trashing on Joseph Smith...that is NEVER okay...but we just said good day and left. I have definitely learned how to hold my tongue on my mission...I wouldn't be rude, but the only effective thing to say is your testimony in a situation like that...and he wasn't listening.

Hope you all had a great Valentines day, cause we sure did! Right after we took these...we got a text message from a Potential Investigator (someone who we may start teaching, that other missionaries found and sent their info to us because they were YSA age) (keep in mind, we have NEVER met him, only texted and he seemed cool) He started out by asking what we we're doing for Valentines Day, and we replied "Missionary work, and you?" He said "What does that entail? Me and my friend are looking for two lovely ladies to take to dinner and possibly a movie if you two are interested? We can totally talk about the wonderful world of Mormonism" hahhahaahahahahahaha we almost died! California, such tact 1. Asking us out DAY OF 2. We've NEVER met him 3. Over TEXT hahahaha and then number 4. WE ARE ON MISSIONS. Beautiful.

This week it hit a balmy...100 degrees I LOVE CALIFORNIA :)
Inline image 2and we took Holly to the temples visitors center....fun fact Holly's baptism is 48 days away...she has a countdown! AND she came to 2 lessons with us this week, she is a missionary in training. :) I LOVE her! (my Book of Mormon is in Italian dad!) :)

I LOVE THIS WORK! We had little to no time for our own area this week...but when we did get out, we went to an area called Van Nuys...there are 3 sets of english missionaries in the Van Nuys ward, and they just recently put sisters in a few weeks ago, they are wondering if it is to rough of an area for sisters, and since OUR sisters are the ones serving there...we were asked to go check it out at night, we went to see if they we're safe enough to be there, ends up, Van Nuys is super sketchy, but it also ends up, that it is such an amazing place to find those that need the gospel, following the spirit and always being aware we found an amazing guy named Jose who is really searching for God in his life. The spirit REALLLLLLY place such a role in our lives, we knew we we're save, we knew when it was time to leave as well. Never take that precious gift for granted, constantly be seeking the guidance it give us. I love this church, the temple is such an amazing beautiful place, where God lives inside the walls and on the grounds. (DON'T worry mom, we're being smart) God doesn't protect the stupid.

i looooooove you!
